Rebecca “Beckie” Hill is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Case Manager and has been practicing in this role since 2001. Beckie earned her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University in 2017, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western Washington University in 1998. Beckie is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor; a Certified Disability Management Specialist; a certified Progressive Goal Attainment Program Trained Activity Coach; a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist; and a Certified Case Manager. Ms. Hill is also an associate member of the American Board of Vocational Experts.

Beckie has provided vocational services to clients in Washington State and beyond and has worked with individuals with catastrophic, life altering injuries for many years. Her love of working with people with disabilities began at a very young age working with a child who suffered a traumatic brain injury, and another child with cerebral palsy. In addition, she volunteered at a summer camp for children with disabilities. Beckie has hands on skills in providing direct assistance with life care planning, legal cases, earning capacities, and self-insured work. Beckie is also an approved Vocational Expert for the Social Security Administration. In addition, Beckie provides rehabilitation counseling to clients in all phases of Department of Labor & Industries vocational services. Beckie is able to utilize her breadth of knowledge and skill-set to provide expert opinions in a diverse range of cases.

Beckie is a member of the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association. She is a member of International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and served as the Washington State Chapter’s Member at Large for 2014-2015. Beckie was selected as a panel member for the WA IARP 2013 conference discussing On-The-Job training. Beckie is also a member of Washington Self-Insurers Association (WSIA). Beckie is past Treasurer of the organization Professionals in Workers Compensation. She is also a member of the Puget Sound Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and is past Co-Chair for the Events Committee.

Outside of work, Beckie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, the Seahawks, playing with her dogs, doing water aerobics, and enjoying yoga.

Stephanie Boeshaar, MS, CRC

Stephanie Boeshaar has been with Strategic Consulting Services since March 2004. Prior to working at SCS, Stephanie worked with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) as an Employment Specialist working with individuals with disabilities and placing them on job sites. This required Stephanie to work closely with employers and present the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities including the financial benefit to the state and to the individual. This included coordination with local support agencies such as housing, medical, SSDI, L&I and various groups. Job readiness services were provided to each participant including resumes, job search, interview skills, etc.

Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Minor in Sociology from Washington State University and a Master of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation from San Diego State University. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys supporting Young Life, photography, volunteering at the church, personal business ventures, serving on Youth For Christ auction board, and raising five-kids while driving them all over town.

Monte Ewald, MS, CRC

Monte A. Ewald has been with Strategic Consulting Services since April 2003. Prior to working at SCS, Monte worked as a VRC for various firms and as a manager for a counseling service for mentally disabled. Monte has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Dr. Martin Luther College and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Mankato State University. Outside of work, Monte enjoys spending time with family, chorale singing, playing golf, woodworking/home improvement projects, reading, viewing historical documentaries, camping and fishing.

Lori Allen, MA, CRC

Lori Allen has been with Strategic Consulting Services since February 2006. Prior to working at SCS, Lori worked at the Department of Labor & Industries in the Vocational Dispute Resolution Office for 7 years.  Lori has been in the vocational rehabilitation field since 1992 with 24 years of experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Prior to vocational rehabilitation, Lori worked with inmates on parole, and as a career counselor at a local college. Her education in counseling psychology is specific to assisting those with mental health diagnoses, and special needs populations. Lori is fluent in Spanish.

In 1995, Lori obtained a Master’s Degree in Psychological Counseling at Saint Martin’s College.  She also attended Texas Tech for Graduate studies in Vocational Rehabilitation.  Lori holds a CRCC (Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification).  Lori specializes in complex claims and is well respected for her legal expertise.  Outside of work, Lori enjoys bike riding, cooking, and learning about the world.

Lane Hyatt, CDMS

Lane Hyatt has been with Strategic Consulting Services since July 2009. Prior to working at SCS, he worked in sales for Frio-Lay and prior to that worked as a Career Counselor. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in University Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho.

Outside of work, Lane enjoys fishing with his kids, youth group leader, loves to find the sun, camping with family and exploring new places.

Kierstin Clawson, M.Ed.,CRC, CEES

Kierstin Clawson has been with Strategic Consulting Services since April 2004 and has over 25 years of experience working with injured workers, employers, insurers and medical providers in the field of worker’s compensation. Since 2010 Kierstin has completed advanced training and several certifications in ergonomics. She has extensive experience assessing risks and providing ergonomic solutions for employers throughout the Puget Sound area. Kierstin has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES) and a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS).



Dan Blackson, B.S., CDMS

Dan Blackson has been with Strategic Consulting Services since June 2004. Prior to working at SCS, Dan worked as a VRC for Whittall Management Group and prior to that worked as a Vocational Counselor with Olsen & Associates. Dan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Washington State University. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. Dan is also a drummer, loves music and is a loyal Seattle Mariners fan.

Bobbie Kaufman, MC, CRC

Bobbie has been practicing as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor since 2000.  She earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Seattle University, a Bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University and holds a national certification in Rehabilitation Counseling.

Bobbie provides rehabilitation and case management services to workers covered by the Department of Labor and Industries and for Self-Insured Employers.  She has experience providing vocational counseling and rehabilitation planning to disabled veterans and service members for the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as facilitating and providing accommodations for employees and faculty as a Disability Case Manager at the University of Washington.

Bobbie especially enjoys collaborating with employers, providers and workers in facilitating effective return to work, as well as bringing cases with complex medical and vocational issues to resolution.

Outside of work, Bobbie enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her two grown sons, and enjoys reading, live theatre, hiking, cycling and gardening.
