Beckie Hill, MA, CRC, CDMS, ABVE/A, PGAP, CEES CEAS, CCM

Rebecca “Beckie” Hill is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Case Manager and has been practicing in this role since 2001. Beckie earned her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University in 2017, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western Washington University in 1998. Beckie is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor; a Certified Disability Management Specialist; a certified Progressive Goal Attainment Program Trained Activity Coach; a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist; and a Certified Case Manager. Ms. Hill is also an associate member of the American Board of Vocational Experts.

Beckie has provided vocational services to clients in Washington State and beyond and has worked with individuals with catastrophic, life altering injuries for many years. Her love of working with people with disabilities began at a very young age working with a child who suffered a traumatic brain injury, and another child with cerebral palsy. In addition, she volunteered at a summer camp for children with disabilities. Beckie has hands on skills in providing direct assistance with life care planning, legal cases, earning capacities, and self-insured work. Beckie is also an approved Vocational Expert for the Social Security Administration. In addition, Beckie provides rehabilitation counseling to clients in all phases of Department of Labor & Industries vocational services. Beckie is able to utilize her breadth of knowledge and skill-set to provide expert opinions in a diverse range of cases.

Beckie is a member of the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association. She is a member of International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and served as the Washington State Chapter’s Member at Large for 2014-2015. Beckie was selected as a panel member for the WA IARP 2013 conference discussing On-The-Job training. Beckie is also a member of Washington Self-Insurers Association (WSIA). Beckie is past Treasurer of the organization Professionals in Workers Compensation. She is also a member of the Puget Sound Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and is past Co-Chair for the Events Committee.

Outside of work, Beckie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, the Seahawks, playing with her dogs, doing water aerobics, and enjoying yoga.

Claire Johnston, MA, CRC

Claire has been with SCS since May 2013.  Prior to SCS, she worked for another vocational rehabilitation firm and as an academic advisor graduate intern at her alma mater, Northern Illinois University.

She has her Bachelor’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University, and a Master’s of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from Northern Illinois University.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her dogs, running and training for races, cooking, exploring restaurants and antique shops in Seattle, taking copious amounts of photos  and spending time with family and friends.

Wendy Johnson, CDMS

Wendy Johnson has been practicing as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant in Washington since 1999, where she has primarily focused on self-insured case management. Wendy has broad experience handling cases in all referral types including ability to work assessment, plan development and plan implementation. Wendy has worked with a wide array of business and industry and has concentrated much of her work on cases involving complex medical and legal issues. Prior to becoming a VRC, Wendy gained several years of hands on experience working as a self-insured claims examiner and state fund employer representative. Wendy is certified as a Certified Disability Management Specialist. Wendy received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington in 1994.

Trish Berberet, MPA, CDMS

Trish began working at Strategic Consulting Services in March of 2004 and has provided vocational services for the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and private attorneys since that time. Her career as a vocational consultant began in October of 1989. Over the course of this tenure, she has worked also with self-insured employers and Veteran’s Administration. She has an undergraduate degree in Social Work and a Masters in Public Administration. Ms. Vazanko has been a Certified Disability Management Specialist since September of 2007. She provides vocational services to claimant throughout Eastern Washington.

Stacy Lough, CDMS

Stacy Lough has been with Strategic Consulting Services since April 2009. She has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and is a certified disability management specialist.

Prior to SCS, Stacy was in management in the financial industry and mortgage lending. Outside of work, Stacy enjoys gardening, sports, travel and reading.

Sonia Stratton, CDMS

Sonia Stratton has been with Strategic Consulting Services since October 2003. She has 20 years of experience providing vocational assessment, rehabilitation planning, job placement activities and ability to work assessments.

Ms. Stratton provides vocational rehabilitation services to workers covered by Washington State Department of Labor and Industries in both state funded as well as self-insured cases. Her practice also includes providing vocational expert testimony in litigated cases.

Ms. Stratton earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from UW-Stout with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling. She holds national certifications in Disability Management.

In her non-working hours, Ms. Stratton enjoys gardening, hiking, camping and knitting.

Shannon Kelley, MA, CDMS

Shannon Kelley has been with Strategic Consulting Services since March 2010, providing vocational services for self-insured employers and the Department of Labor and Industries. Shannon holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. In 2019, she worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah C-MIIND, studying brain-based treatment options for chronic pain and opioid overuse. She also worked as a Wilderness Therapy Intern with struggling teens in the Utah desert. As an undergraduate, Shannon studied Forensic Science and Criminal Behavior at The Evergreen State College. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, creative writing, and spending time with family.

Robyn Oster, BSN, CDMS

Robyn Oster has been with Strategic Consulting Services since April of 2004. She has been providing vocational services since graduating from college in 1994. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Outside of work she enjoys teaching jazzercise and spending time with her family. Summers are best spent on the lake wake surfing or wakeboarding with her family.

Robert K. Moore, MA, CRC, F/ABVE

Robert Moore has been with Strategic Consulting Services since August 2012. Prior to working at SCS, Robert worked for Great Northern Consulting Company and prior to that he taught school in a juvenile detention center.

Robert has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Western Washington University and a Master of Arts in Counseling with an Emphasis in Rehabilitation, from University of Arkansas Little Rock. Outside of work, Robert enjoys exercising, traveling and bicycling.

Rachel Steilberg, MS, CRC, CLCP

Rachel Steilberg has been with Strategic Consulting Services since May 2009. Prior to working at SCS, Rachel worked for a few other VRC firms in training and management roles. Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Central Washington University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys mountain biking, soccer, skiing, hiking, photography, playing piano and being a mom.
